Robyn Edge
BSc. CAT(C)
A graduate of the University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy program in 2009, Robyn became a certified Athletic Therapist in the same year. Her career began at the University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy Centre, combining the practice of therapy and student mentorship. After 5 years with the University Robyn joined the MORFIT team in October, 2014.
It is her belief that providing education behind each injury, and explaining the purpose with each exercise prescribed will help deepen your involvement in the injury rehabilitation process. Robyn involves each client in the development of an efficient, strategic rehabilitation plan that will allow the client’s goals to be reached.
Robyn has spent a great deal of time continuing her education furthering her knowledge and developing an extensive tool box of techniques to pull from. A treatment could include movement analysis, myofascial release, myofascial cupping, trigger point treatment, postural/core retraining, strength training and assisted stretching; treatment plans are individualized to suit each client’s area of concern and ability. Areas of interest for Robyn include: functional movement training; body and postural awareness; ACL reconstruction (pre- and post- surgical); running and cycling mechanics and injury prevention; rehabilitating sport specific injuries; and, manual techniques to resolve headaches/migraines.
A former ringette and team handball competitor, Robyn can now be found on her road bike, in a yoga studio, on her cross country skies, doing body weight training workouts on a play structure or jogging the Wolseley/Wellington loop in her free time.
Robyn always has time to communicate with you so please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have questions. Appointments can be booked by calling her at 204-999-0128, or through email at [email protected]
